In the office we will do a full car accident review, consultation and examination to determine the full extent of your auto accident injuries.

We will do a thorough history of the nature of the car accident, how it happened and who was at fault. In addition the position of the injured person in the car (front seat, back seat, looking left etc…) and how the car was impacted (rear ended, t-boned etc…)

Secondly we do a thorough medical history to determine what injuries you have suffered and how the you feel compared to before the accident. We are looking for evidence of musculoskeletal injuries, spinal injuries and signs of possible concussion (very common in car accidents even if you don’t hit your head!)

Next we will do a thorough physical examination which will include range of motion analysis, orthopedic tests, neurological testing and palpation of the spine and other effected tissues and joints.

Lastly we will be doing specific X-rays to look for structural damage from the accident, possible fractures and evidence of ligament damage caused by the accident. Some of these items are not always obvious but need to be identified to prevent long term pain and dysfunction from the injuries.

If more advanced imaging or studies are needed (ex. MRI) we will facilitate that process and make sure that is done promptly.
